The Shelby Brown Band first hit the airwaves in 2003 with a self produced CD release entitled "Miracle", which landed him the number 7 spot on the DMX Smooth Jazz Chart for 6 weeks. This was followed by a popular 2007 sophomore release entitled "No Boundaries". In 2009 The Shelby Brown Band's 3rd album "The Meaning of Life" featured chart topping smooth jazz guitarist Nick Colionne, who plays on the album's most notable single "All Out".
And now after a brief hiatus and devoting time to his growing family, Shelby Brown re-emerged on the Detroit music scene as a solo artist, dropping "Band" from his official title, and releasing his latest EP.
of cover tunes that boasts the creative stylings of Detroit's most sought after musicians. The characteristic intricacies of this engaging EP features renditions that are sure to excite the contemporary music listener.
Shelby Brown's June 2017 debut single, a Neyo classic "Money Can't Buy", soared to the top of the Smooth Jazz Network's top 20 Jazz Charts since it's release.
Versatile and astute in the various voices of saxophone, Shelby Brown has mastered the art of sax from the church house to the big stage, intimate showcase rooms, and the recording studio.
